I posted my engine code a while back and got an answer, but I'm still stumped. My engine code (V0803HC) comes out to be a 65 327 or a 69 350. I got the casting number (3914678) and it turns out to be a '68 302,327,or 350. The crank shaft number is 3911001 which is a 307 or 327. Can someone please help me before I go "postal"??? Thanks!

It could very well be a 350 or a 327 block with a 307 or 327 crank in it. This would make the engine a 327. The 327 shares the bore of a 350 and the crank of a 307. Another way to look at these is the 307 is a 283 bore with a 327 crank. The crankshaft # 3911001 is a large journal crank. These came out in 68, so your block has to be at least that vintage. It cannot be a 65 327 since the cranks were small journal then. Also the casting # you gave was also used for 350's until 1979. To determine what you have exactly, get the date code off the rear of the block. It would be on the passenger side rear bellhousing mounting area. The first digit is a month code ex: A = Jan, B = Feb, etc. The next two digits are the day of the month and the last is the year code.
Here is an example of a date code:
K 26 9
K = November
26 = 26th day
9 = 1969
After 1970 the year code was usually 2 digits example:
C 20 74
C = March
20 = 20th day
74 = 1974
Yours is most likely a 327, but check the date code out. Hope this helps!
