I hate myself for asking, but I've looked all over, searched this site all over, looked through my books and couldn't find an answer.
Does anyone know (or know where I can find) how many 68 SS/RS Conv 375hp cars were built? I located one by accident & I'm seriously considering buying - pending documentation.
Thanks!!!

Not many......if you like it, buy it! That combines the best style (RS), best power (L-78) and best "cool" (convertible)

AGREE TOTALLY!!! I have a '68 lo-mile SS/RS Conv now. This would be the big brother. But can't afford to keep both & probably sell the big block to fund the other. Too much money to drive around. And if you don't drive'm, why have'm?? http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

Easy, easy. Find out if it is authentic first (post the numbers here).
If it is, it is quite rare. Post the numbers here, and we'll attempt to verify.

Chasing ghosts... Finally got an up close and personal - missing documentation and a 10 bolt rear. Now, I'm thinking "WOW! A SS 375hp car with a 10 bolt rear? HOW RARE IS THAT!!! must be the only one ever built!" http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
Gotta' chase a few ghosts to find the real thing. Thanks to those who responded.

there are not alot of rs/ss convertables regardless, if thats what you are looking for and the price is resonable buy it, if you end up buying a coupe when you wanted a convertable you will always wish that you bought what you really wanted. Don't buy it thinking your going to make a fortune on it down the road. always buy what you really want and you will never be sorry.
