Similar colors to the pace car ... William Sep 4th, 04, 01:36 PM The rivets are not the originals. The tag has been removed and re-installed. shoddy_F-body Sep 4th, 04, 02:33 PM Originally posted by William: The rivets are not the originals. The tag has been removed and re-installed. First thing i noticed. csn69ss Sep 5th, 04, 01:51 AM I thought it was a nicely options convertible and that it could be a Pacesetter value car - is there any other way to verify that. Would it help if I posted a picture of the whole firewall. The car has a 12 bolt rear end, a 350 (no numbers on the engine and rearend yet) and the guy installed a TH400. The Tag was removed at the frame off restauration of the car, you notice its painted that gastly Metallic British Racing Green under the Tag also - It has not been tampered with - I happend to see the tag before it was removed (the shop is not doing that mistake again). The guy is not selling the car as a "something SS" or anything else and he doesn't know what he has - just that its a 67 Convertible. [ 09-05-2004, 06:13 AM: Message edited by: csn69ss ] csn69ss Sep 5th, 04, 04:19 AM The Pace setter Value cars were 250cui straight six's weren't they. Basically the pace setter value was 250cui, white walls, floor mounted 3 speed shifter, wheel covers, bumper guards, mouldings, striping, interior. Was the "Pace setter package" offered to V8's also ? jackr Sep 5th, 04, 04:29 AM Is there a color difference between the pace setter and pace car interiors ? The pace cars had the bright blue inerior color. This one has the dark blue. Either way I like this combo with the blue ragtop. Kurt S Sep 5th, 04, 06:37 AM Originally posted by csn69ss: Was the "Pace setter package" offered to V8's also ? No, Pace Setters were only L6 cars. What's the VIN? al8apexer Sep 5th, 04, 07:27 AM I was NOT trying to imply that this was a Pace CAR, just PERHAPS the version they offered during the Pacesetter Value Days, since it is an early May car and white and blue. The interior on this car is standard and it has a blue top, the Pace Cars has the Deluxe blue interior and the white top (and SS and RS, and more). Regardless, this SOUNDS like a neat car, pretend that is ALL it is and enjoy it for that. csn69ss Sep 6th, 04, 06:34 PM Kurt S The VIN is 123677N214424 Looks like it was a L6, could be a pace setter value car, then it should have had the 250cui right?. However the L6 is long gone, it has a 350 now (not yet installed) and a SS hood!!!. I will ask around for the original engine. Cool colour combination though, Ermine White with med. blue top and blue interior. |
