The car was sitting for sale on the side of the highway. So I have not talked to the owner yet. It has RS emblems, but no motor or trans. Interior looks ok (maybe an old resto), 10 bolt rear, no disc brakes, and car is yellow with back Z-28 stripes.

The sticker on the car had $4500. I know the price is high, but what do the numbers tell us?

Well, looks like it is a '69 v8 coupe with black custom buckets and Le Mans blue paint, no vinyl top. If it has a date correct 10 bolt rear and no disc brakes then it is not an SS or Z: could very well be a base model v8 car with the RS package. Does it have the backup lamps on the rear valence panel?

Can you get any other numbers from the tag? Should be a date code (most likely will be for the first month or two of the model year).

If the body is in good shape (no rust/ big dents etc.) then the asking price is fair! Sounds like a nice big block project to me http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif .
