Which two number are you referring to? The VIN will not tell you anything about the trim. I'm just talking '69 here. What year Camaro are you thinking about buying?

You can't. You can line up VIN's to a rough calender date, and you can line up the cowl tag to a build date, but the body numbers can't be linked directly to a VIN unless it's thru some kind of documentation like a build sheet which has both numbers on it.

Print out this table and take it with you:

http://www.camaros.org/geninfo.shtml#HowMany

Compare where the VIN is to the date the car was scheduled to be built on the cowl tag. "REMEMBER" it took 4 to 5 days for a car to progress from a pile of sheetmetal to a finished product so a car started on the last couple of days of any given month may have a VIN after what this table says and build weeks do not correspond to calendar weeks. Use it as a guide only, not gospel.

Thanks Mark ! You answered my question i was looking for. Sorry i shold have been more detailed on what i wanted. The car is a 69 x11. The person that has the car got it in a package deal.Over the phone he couldnt tell me much about any numbers i asked, except the cowl tag x11.(where i told him where to look) He said it was a 350 w/350th console solid body no rust and factory air. Hes asking 6400.oo
