I recently located a 67 ss/rs with a powerglide tranny, column shift, bench seat and 10 bolt rearend . could this have been an original combo?

Yes, except the 10 bolt rear. If you post the cars info, we can check it to see if the numbers line up.

Looks like a neat packaged car. If you can get the drive train numbers also, we should be able to tell you if they are original. Also if you post the vin#, I can tell you if it lines up with the cowl tag.
