I would like to thank NealM for the info he provided about Eaton Detroit springs. I had bad luck with repro leaf springs causing my car to sit extremely high and ride very stiff. I followed NealM's advice and bought springs from Eaton Detroit. I ordered them to sit 1" lower than stock, and I must say I couldn't be happier. To anyone looking into replacing their leaf springs, consider buying them from Eaton Detroit. Thanks again NealM.

That's good news Bob. May I ask, about how much did the Eaton springs run? thanks, Jon

The springs were 219.00... (I believe 20.00 extra charge for 1" lowering) + 70.00 shipping charge to CA. (I would think less shipping the closer you are to the factory) Total cost was 289.00. I got them 7 days after I ordered them.

P.S. - I noticed an earlier post reference the finish on Detroit's springs before I bought mine. I was prepared for a less than show quality finish. Having said that, the finish wasn't bad. I'm pretty anal about everything, so I went ahead and stripped and painted them before I installed them. In reality, the finish that comes on them is probably better suited to handle being under the car than the paint I used.

I know how it feels to have some good springs!

For $235, I couldn't be happer with the custom springs I ordered from a spring shop in Oregon. I was pretty nervous, after reading numerous horror stories on this board!
