Any opinions on a first gen. R&P swap? I have looked at BRP's front mount, steeroids rear mount and Unisteer's rear mount. They all claim to have no bump steer issues. I will be using the QA1 coilovers stock drum spindles(c5 brakes) and somebody's tubular arms.

Here's a great pic of Ummgawa's (Jim) front subrame with the BRP LS1 rack conversion.

What about clearance issues with the oil pan? I was under the impression that some arec either close to interfering with the oil pan or are mounted so that they would hit the ground before anything else. Also wondering about the bump steer issue. Thanks

I will be running an LT1. Will that rear mount sway bar interfere? Is that sway bar a bolt on kit or custom mod? Also steering shaft clearance?
I do have to say it looks cool.

Hey Dudes, I am running a Moroso Big pan on a stroked 400 small block and I tell you, If the pan or the bar had an extra coat of paint on them, they would not clear. BUT, they do.
The rear sway bar is a hotchkiss unit with special mounts fabricated by Phil Brewer at www.BRPHotrods.com (http://www.BRPHotrods.com) . Phil is a great guy and he originally designed this set up for a LS-1 motor, Year One's INOV8TR. Steering shaft clearance is excellent, even with headers (not even close). An LT-1 Should not have any clearance issues either.
Bumpsteer is minimal if not zero. I hope this helps.
