Hi .. i am new to this board .. after reviewing all 30 some pages of posts, there are not many devoted to second gens .. im putting together a 73 camaro, 1995 LT1 with 6 spd manual, 17x9 SS (ZR1 type) wheels with 275/40/17 on all 4 corners (if they fit with vette brakes adapters ??) 12" brake upgrade on front, rear out of 79 T/A with discs, all poly bushings, subframe connectors, blah blah.. i want to get as low as possible ride height without constant header conflicts with the ground and get the best cornering capability out of the car with stock type suspension pieces (a arms and shock system .. no coil over or aftermarket front subframe). I have read a lot about the MOOG 6041 's but seem to be a first gen only spring .. is there an equivalent for 2nd gens? i already purchsed hellwig f and r sway bars ( the largest size they offered, not sure exact size at this time) which may have been a mistake .. would like to get springs front and rear to work with these ...

what do you recommend? give me a receipe for handling based on your personal experience ...

thanks ... and you have a great board .. glad i found it.

Go to www.hotchkisperformance.com (http://www.hotchkisperformance.com) and check out the project car titled "F71." It looks pretty sweet.

Herb Adams parts are available from Moroso, Summit can order them I have heard.

Do front and rear springs, bushings, shocks, performance alignment specs, you have the bars. If the bars are to stiff, you can use some rubber bushings in place of polly on them.
I would take a look at the whole kit, with the idea of buying a whole package if possible.
You can mix and match, but it's difficult to get things balanced and working at their best.
I've owned a 70 BB and 79 Z/28 but haven't done a lot of suspension tweaks, they were my wife's cars. When she drove the 70SS 396, she'd come home and say "is a 440 cuda fast? I beat one today!" http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
