I am trying to restore my 69 RS/SS 396 carb linkage and TH400 kickdown switch. This is an L34 350HP with a Rochester carb and cast iron manifold. I have not been able to find a replacement switch or bracket, nor have I found any good detailed photgraphs of the setup. The original components have been damaged beyond repair. Can anyone recommend any information? Thanks!

Bob, I had to scrape up all of this years ago for a T400 car that had been raced. The bracket & switch was used on all T400 Chevs from '66 to at least '70. The QJ bracket is different than the Holley; switch is the same. A couple major Camaro parts suppliers offer the bracket & harness in repro; used switches aren't hard to locate. The assembly is shown on pages A8 & A9 in the M40 section of the assembly manual

What does the switch look like, I have a switch and bracket that I removed from a '70 454-400 turbo car years ago, it had a Quadajet on it.

It has a die-cast body. There is a plunger on one end sealed with a rubber collar. The other end has the terminals.

Thanks for the information. I'll check the manual. The two reproduction suppliers I have catalogs for did not list the parts. Can you tell me which parts supplier carries these parts? Thanks...
