I have a 68 ragtop with the original 327 2 barrel. I'd like to get a little more zip out of it.
I have a nice pair of camel hump 194 heads to put on it. My cam is gross 454 lift and 268 duration. I think its range is 1500-5500.

I was thinking something like a Performer intake and a 600 cfm carb. Is it wise to use 202 valves with these heads? I also plan to do headers.

I read about mismatched components a lot, and want to get the most out of my $. I realize I'm not building a race car here. Thanks for all your help.

The big thing to check is to make sure that the heads would match up with your engine.Other then that the preformer intake and edelbrock 600 will work great for what you want
