I'm doing research on a ls1/t56 swap in the future using a donor 98-02 camaro.
One issue with this swap is clearance of the oil pan for the stock type rear steer, I was told to get the rack modefied by s&p I believe, so that it will mount between the 2 crosmembers where the sway bar is, and the sway bar relocated to the rear (but does not cause interfearnce with the oil pan.

Have any of you guys done this swap with the ls1, it seems like it makes sence, however it seems like at ls1tech they seem to solve problems by throwing tons of money at it, and I am trying to stay in some sort of budget with this car.

Also how would this compare to the steeroids or the numerous other rack setups.
