: Fast Ratio box / metric threads?

The rag coupling from Lee Mfg. came with the "O" ring to flare adapters, but the male threaded fitting, on the regular pressure hose I have, fits a little loose on the box's female threads. Does that means that I have to cut the flare on that hose end and use the metric/original F/R box fitting end , even when it needs a little trimming on the tip/nose? Think it can be replaced easily by double flaring that hose end again. Is that needed or I'm missing something?

The lee adapters should fit your stock US hose ends. Does the adapter use an O ring where it goes into the box?

The instructions don't mention the "O" rings anywhere. Just press the little adapters carefully & straight inside the holes. They're fairly simple adapters that leave an inverted flare end {bevel} inside the threaded hole for the hose to fit, but don't look like they need "O" rings, cause they're supposed to enter press fit. The return line, I have the correct fitting that came together with the F/R box (oil cooler loop) but the other piece was like a double male threaded elbow which connect to the T/A high press line and to the box. Thats the one I'm looking to, to get the male threaded end from and install it on my old hose. The adapters are marked pressure & return . Question, the high press inlet at the box is the one with some restriction thing, right? Return is the hollow inlet? Just to make sure I install them correctly. ;) The rag coupling from Lee fitted perfect. :D

OK, I was thinking about the screw in adapters.
You have the replacement seats which change the seat but the threads are still metric. The US threads are "supposed to be close enough to work, but the metric nut IS slightly larger.

I guess you could put metric nuts on the hoses and reflare if there is enough tube.
Pressure inlet is next to the engine and has the check valve visible in the hole.

Gracias David, all clear. There's enough tube lenght to cut and re-flare. Thanks again. graemlins/beers.gif

Hey,Orench,I was in Puerto Rico two weeks ago today-Paula and I went on a cruise of the Carribean on the MS Zuiederdam (Holland America Line)and we stopped in San Juan.Nice place you got there! I didn't get to see much of it,the ship was only in port for about 4 hours and I had been up all night praying to the porceline god(ya gotta love that Norwalk Virus!!!).
We did ,however manage to get ripped off by a friendly, local cab driver.I had given him a street address for a Harley dealer in Guaynabo. We agreed on a price(set by the Gov.,apparently)and piled into his van.He drove us around for a little while and when we got into an area that had construction going on and the traffic was stopped he pointed to a building and said the dealer was just to the other side of that.We paid him,got out and he drove away.We wandered around for a bit without seeing any Harley shop so I asked a policewoman where it was.She didn't spaek much English so she showed us to a Tourism office. The guy inside there told us the Harley dealer was about 45 minutes away and offered to call us a cab!!Turns out we were about a mile from where we got into the cab!!!Oh,well I guess that's probably a sport for those guys-rip off "la touristas"!!Anyway what I did see of P.R. was beautiful.

Sorry for that, there should be something like a printed receipt with all his info, everytime you pay a Taxi, so in those cases one can get even with them by calling, fill a complaint or whatever. Any way I'm glad you did like what you get to see in San Juan. Next time go to the beach, try to make it to the western side of the Island to enjoy some of the best ones. graemlins/waving.gif
