I have an everything new brake system on my 67. Master, calipers, lines, hoses, rear cylinders. It's a virgin. What flavor of brake fluid would the group use if they have this chance?

It's the same as the Ford HD fluid, has very good specs, and is available in just about every city in the USA. Everett#2390 Feb 19th, 04, 01:29 AM Also, DOT-4 would be very good. RickD Feb 20th, 04, 03:02 AM I followed Carl's input as I had several cars to flush, etc and bought a gallon. I also like Castrol LMA which is DOT4. I used it with great results when I used to run a 240Z at LimeRock => no fade what-so-ever. Hedkat Feb 22nd, 04, 01:35 PM Have you thought about using Silicone Brake fluid. Several of my friends are using it. Won't obsorb moisture. Mr. C Feb 22nd, 04, 04:05 PM Stay away from silicone fluid. Lot of watch outs in which brake fluid to use. Wanted to make sure there was not some new technologies before I put in the fluid. I used the NAPA heavy duty since it seemed safest and no gotchas.. |
