Angel - the '69 AIM and Chassis Service Manual both show a bolt, washer and nut for mono application. On the multi-leaf the shock has a bolt mounted in the end with a rubber bushing. There is a hole in the shock plate to accept the shock and bolt assembly.
If what is pictured is correct for a mono-leaf shock it's way different than what the books show. You're in Steve's neighborhood, print the picture and pay him a visit or ask him to pull up the auction when you get there. He'll know one way or the other... Hey, tell him I said hi, use my last name "Dunio" and he'll know me...

djd, the reason i ask is because i have two different types on mine. one is like the one pictured. in classic industries cat on page 557, it also show the one pictured but without the washers and bolts. the other one that is mounted to the shock plate has a wider shoulder for lack of a better term. it also doesnt have the raised area (the part that looks like a washer welded to the shoulder) on the shoulder. so, i was wondering which one would be correct. maybe i will go by steve's tomorrow and say hello to him for you. the last time i saw him was in burlingame taking a slow walk to his favorite smoke shop after he had a big fat steak dinner. i couldnt join him because i had the kids(not that theres anything wrong with that) but the cigar sure did sound good.
thanks
