I installed a 7/8" rear bar on my 72. I bought it from Classic Industries. It comes with urethane bushings and all the hardware. It appears to be identical to PST's bar. I have also heard good things about Herb Adams bars but they are expensive. Make sure you get the one for a car that didn't have a rear bar or you won't have all the hardware, end-links, etc. you need. They recommend drilling two holes in each frame rail and mounting with their hardware; very simple. A lot of people recommend welding the frame bracket on to prevent tearing it off.

GSPED - What other suspension modifications have you performed on you car? A rear sway bar may cause oversteer if installed on a first gen without any other suspension mods. Do a search on some posts relating to this topic. You may find out that a rear sway bar is not the proper application.

You may want to get some advice from David Possi. He has his own site with a WEALTH of suspension info. He has posts all over this site with links to his site.

When holes are drilled in frame rails how do ya attach nuts inside frame? I've got an Addco bar and struts from Vette brakes + products with no installation instructions. Give me some advice.

You can use a nutsert in the frame rail, if that's where it attaches. It's like a rivet that is threaded inside.

A better setup is a threaded plate welded or riveted to the frame rail.

If you rivet a mount to the frame rail make it so the bracket is U shaped and the rivets are loaded in shear.
