I have a 86 Iroc steering box, and short outer steering arms. What pitman armshould I use and what idler arm? I looked at David Pozzi's web site, but all I see is this set up "may be" too fast and 2 different length pitman arms, etc. can be used. A GM or aftermarket part number for the idler arm an pitman arm would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We had a long discussion on this. Just click on the link. Should answer your questions. I got my box out of a regular 86 Z28. This is the pitman arm I'm using TRW 18770 it's around 5-13/16 long center to center. I also have the short st/arms.. You can also do a search and find lots more info here.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if anyone has tried the short outer arms with the iroc box and thought it was "too fast". Also I wqas going to use a GM type II steering pump like alot of the aftermarket pulley companies do. It's really a 87 pontiac sunbird power steering pump (probably also cavalier) will it have enough pressure and volume for the steering box?

Can't really help you on the pontiac p/s pump pressure question. See if you can find the specs online. Or call a Pont dealer parts dept and ask them. You need around 1100-1200#'s of pressure.
