welcome.. do a search- this comes up all the time. there are a lot of cars that will work. the trick is to ask for one out of a 1973 4 door Nova- it will fit and be cheaper than one for a 69 Camaro.

You guys should be closer to Ga. There are plenty of Novas around here. I had a 71 with disc brakes given to me to haul off. There is a 68 Camaro hull in a salvage yard 2mi. from my house with a good subframe under it.

Nova frames won't work on a 69 I don't think. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I believe Camaros went to the new subframe style in 69 with the power steering pump ahead of the K-member.

Nova's went to front steer in '75. 68-74 Nova's are the same as 67-69 camaros. '75 nova's are same as 2nd gen Camaros. Please correct me if I'm wrong? David?

the power steering "pump" has always been "in front of" the crossmember, on the front of the engine. the "steering box" moved to in front of the crossmember on the 70 1/2 F body (Camaro/Firebird) and 75-79 X body (Nova/Apollo/Ventura/Omega)- which is the same subframe as the 70-81 Camaro Firebird. as already stated, the 67-69 F body and 68-74 X body cars have a similar interchangeable subframe, but a few of the holes look different from year to year, and the newest X body cars had a different steering linkage, but the old stuff bolts right on.

Deerrrrr. I said pump but meant gearbox. I wasn't sure about 69s. I went on a subframe safari for my 68 not too long ago and ended up with a 73 Nova frame. Sounds like you all are right on track then since I know the nova subframes up to 74 will work on a 68 and it sounds like the 69 is the same beast.
