I can't seem to find them anywhere. I'm talking about the torque on the castle nuts where the Pitman and Idler arms connect to the Center Drag Link.

Thanks.
Tony

I don't see on that list where it mentions the Center Drag Link attachments of the Idler and Pitman Arms. Am I missing it?

Dave?

As david has mentioned in the archives a few times, its 35 lbs, same as the tie rod ends. Its essentially the same type of connection and you are placing a new cotter pin in so its not going to go anywhere.

Sorry Tony, I was just posting that as an FYI.

The Chassis Service manual shows 35ft\lb for the Idler arm mounting nut only.

"1. Install relay rod (center link) to idler arm, making certain idler stud seal is in place, then install and toghten nut. Advance nut just enough to align castellation with cotter pin hole and install pin.
2. Raise end of rod and install on pitman arm. Secure with nut and cotter pin."

I'm assuming it's the same for the pitman arm nut. Why there's a torque spec on a nut that gets set by a pin and hole doesn't make sense to me.
Sorry for the confusion!
