Hey all,
This is very long. It lists the Federated Chassis, MOOG and TRW part numbers for a lot of the front/rear suspension and steering parts. I took them off of the Federal Mogul web site and put them in a list by 1969 Camaro model - Z28, small and then big block. I'll do a 1967 and 1968 by engine size listing if anyone wants.
It doesn't format exactly like I created it but it's readable:

WOW!
I'm impressed! Thanks for the info!

1968 should be the same as 69 and 67 should be the same except for outer tie rod is 1" shorter and toe in adjuster sleeve is a half inch longer.
David

Here's a short list from my web page:
MOOG#

Both sides outer tie rod 67 ES348R (4.62" long)these are shorter than 68-69, don't know why, is adjuster sleeve longer on a 67?

Both sides outer tie rod 68-69 ES381RL (5.75" long)

Both sides Inner tie rod 67-69 ES681N

Toe in adjuster sleeve 68-69 ES350S

Upper ball joint K5108 67-69

Lower ball joint K5103 67-69

Upper control arm Shaft kit K5250

Idler arm + bracket K6099 all 68-69 5.375" long - cast iron, not forged steel.

Idler arm, K6093 all 67 5 3/4" long (no longer available)

Pitman, manual K6150 68-69 (short)

Pitman K6151 PS, short 5.25"

Pitman, PS K6154, 67-69 5.78" long (probably 5 3/4") 32 splines 1.1-1.18 diam. Not longer available from Moog.

Pitman, PS , long, Moog# 6582 New production run, no grease fitting - Currently available at any auto parts store that sells Moog parts.

Pitman, PS long, TRW # 18770 Same as above. Probably a Moog part in a TRW box.

NOTE: There are two length pitman arms for power and two lengths for manual. Std 17 to 1 ratio power steering uses 5.25"

Optional fast ratio PS, uses 5.7" long Pitman arm.

My pleasure....
I have to do SOMETHING while on these darn conference calls.
http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif

I already noticed some part number differences with respect to tie-rod ends that I've found here in other threads. I guess we can only assume that they are up-to-date on their web site. And someone asked about their new ball-joints... it's one of the first things you see when you open the site. http://www.federal-mogul.com/moog/steering_suspension.html

Here are some updated links. The original links noted above do not work:

Federal-Mogul's EConnect Web Catalog - searchable by year. Go to Catalogs, then pick which catalog you want to search:
Federal-Mogul site (http://www.federal-mogul.com/aftermarket/us/index.htm?Country=USA)

Federal-Mogul Products and Brands (http://www.federal-mogul.com/cda/channel/index/0,2186,2442_888403,00.html)

TRW seems to have sold off their steering and suspension product lines to other vendors in North America, and concentrate on commercial products instead.

You guys sure know your stuff, I refer to your threads often and always am amazed with the amount of information.
I do have a question though.
In reading I have found the part # 6312 for the Moog front springs, I pulled the coil springs off my 68 Camaro RS 350 for rebuild and found the part # 6312DV can you help me identify these?

Maybe they're replacement Moog springs in your car?

Yeah, if you could do this out for a 67 350 or 327 camaro, that would help me greatly . I'm looking on doing manual steering to power steering conversion.
Thanks
Barry

6312 is a moog or TRW replacement coil It's slightly taller than some of the other Moog coils, would yield a slightly higher ride height or is for a heavier Camaro like a big block. It's not stiffer at 337 lbs/inch.

I just got control arm bushings on e-bay. They were listed as "67 1968 1969 Camaro Nova RS/SS Z28 Front Poly Bushings". I have found that one of the lower bushings is way too large. Is what he sold me for a big block car?

No, all first gen bushings interchange, even 6 cylinder.

Where exactly do you find the part number on a steering column?
