I've just disassembled the power steering box from my 69. Does the gear get lubricated from the power steering fluid or is there a lubricant that is isolated from the fluid for the gears? If so, what kind of lubricant is used for the gears? Also, is there an easy way to get the recirculating balls back in it?
Thanks...

It's lubed by the PS fluid.
Jim on the Chevelle forum has a page on rebuilding the boxes, I think.

Thanks, that's just what I was looking for. It's going to save me a lot of grief. Thanks again.
