I am looking for drumspindles to do the Corvette C4 PBR conversion for my Camaro Z28.

I have an add on a Swedish Camaro buy and sell site
http://torget.camaro.nu
asking for drumspindels.

I got an answer from a guy offering Corvette '64 Drum front suspension i.e spindles, controlarms, hubs and drums. He claims that they should fit and I doubt it.

anyone knows?

Thanks

Corvette spindles will not fit, the lower ball joint is upside down compared to a Camaro.
Your disc Camaro spindles will work fine. You may need to make a shim or spacer to fit the bracket.

the disc brake spindles you have now will work with the least amount of fabrication. if you get drum spindles, you will need to get the top boss machined down level with the other 2 bolt holes, which wouldn't be too hard, i guess. but it's easier to make a 5/16" or so spacer and use a slightly longer bolt than it is to machine stuff off.

Or make your custom caliper bracket with a big hole in it so that it fits around the wheel spud like big washer with "ear's" for the caliper and bolts to the steering arm bolts!.. Saves messing with the bosses not being of equal height...

Wished I woulda thought of it before I made my first handmade set and Brian made my second set....
