I recently purchased a Wilwood Read Disc Break Set-Up. I was extremely pleased with the parts I recieved. However, after installing the Kit and allowing the Car to sit in the Garage for 6 months without ever driving it I crawled under the rear of the car last weekend to look at futher detailing the bottom of my car. But to my surprise except for the Polished and Slotted Brake Rotors and Billet Aluminum Brake Calipers the rest of the parts were heavily rusted. It is my feelings that for the price you pay for this kit you would at least recieve stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers to complete the Installation. Has anyone else suffered this situation. Also, is there anything I can do but get ahold of Wilwood and try to get a parts list so I can personally replace the rusted parts with Stainless Steel Ancillary Parts. Any sugestions. Seeeeeeeeeeeeeee ya.

Are you saying the Willwood parts are not plated, just bare metal?

My Wilwood kit came with black anodized bolts. I have had mine on for 18 months and they look brand new. I would give them a call and talk to them. Ask them to swap them out for you.

Mine came with black oxide bolts. They looked fine until the first time I drove in the rain. Now they are surface rusted too.
