: Brake clevis hole

I am converting power drum to power disc brakes on my 1969 Camaro. I know the clevis goes in the lower hole in the brake pedal. The problem is it does not line up with the upper or lower hole. it is right between them. I could force it into either hole but that puts a strain on the rod. The Booster is out of a 1969 Camaro so I would assume it should just bolt right up. Any ideas?

although mines a 68, I had to lenthen the rod by about 1" to get proper travel. Long story trying to bleed the system untill longer rod installed.

Thanks, the rod seems the right length (and it came out of another 1969). If it was an inch longer I could not put the clevis on. Anyone else???

That shouldn't happen, graemlins/clonk.gif unless you have a booster with a bent in its mounting base, the booster not fully seated on the firewall, an
unseen dent on the firewall or the wrong booster.

If you're converting from power drums to power discs, why did you change boosters? Doesn't the old booster fit the new m/c?

I checked what I wrote. Sorry, it should read converting manual drums to power disc brakes. Nothing is bent but it appears there was a bracket to contact the brake switch and the pedal was in a lower position on Disc brakes. I read this when I did a search but I did not make the connection  In the lower position it lines up well enough. Thanks
