I finally decided on which discs to get, I was going to go with Matts classic B ties 4 wheel disc kit for $1249, but after thinking about my Boyd Coddington Stingray wheels I just ordered, a Baer serious street kit would fill the bill better, and Ill add the rears soon. I ordered from DSE, Kyle said right now running disc front drum rear no proportion valve is needed, and they have done several installs right there that way and have worked great. he said after rear discs are added to add the valve. My next question for any of you guys that have added Baer brakes, especially the serious street kit, how did you do your brake lines? did you bend your own from scratch or adapt the stock ones? Kinda long sorry, please swamp me with brake line ideas.
Thanks,
Jerry

Sherr, You should be able to use your existing brake lines, providing they are in good condition. Baer is one of the very few manufacturers whose kits actually do "bolt-on" and have ALL of the required hardware included to make the swap an easy one. You made a wise choice. smile.gif

I just watched a Hot Rod show this weekend that went through the Baer serious street kit installation on Chevelle.
That looks like a sweet kit that still allows you to use the factory wheels graemlins/beers.gif

You guys must have some money to burn, at least as far as rear disc conversion go. The 93-97 LT1 Camaro rear disc setups bolt right up to most 12 bolt rear axles. These brakes have the same aluminum PBR single piston caliper that Baer uses in their rear disc setups, and use an 11.7" disc, that will fit under "SOME" 15" wheels. These calipers have a mechanical parking brake setup that doesn't rely on the hydraulic part of the brake. I don't know if the later model rear axle disc brake backing plate will bolt onto a 67-69 axle of not, but if it does, you can pick up a complete rear axle setup for about $150, and keep your 15" wheels. If not there are people selling backing plate adapters for about $80. There are also 98-2002 Camaro LS-1 rear disc setups with 12" rear rotors available for about 250, but your looking at 16" wheels as a minimum.
