is that the kit with the tapered spring????

if so i would recomend getting the same shock and making mounts to use a regular coilover spring.
with the amount of spring rates they have for the shox you could dial it in to whatever rate you want. not just big bock/small block. you can also revalve etc...to get the ride as personalized as you want. imho that would be the only way to fly...

I'm not sure, here is the link to the setup I found at global West, set GMP-13, http://www.globalwest.net/Camaro%20and%20Firebird%201967%20through%201981%20 suspension%20parts.htm#FRONT%20SPRINGS:
LEt me know what you think

yup...it is the one with the tapered spring...so you can choose bbc or sbc....for 100$$ less you can get the regular style coiovers w/springs....then spend the 100$$ on the mounts.

so out the door its about the same but you can change out the springs to dial it in...you could handle/drag/whatever for under 40 bux a spring. for the qa1 springs. i deal with a few places that have a coil spring return program...you can try it out and if the spring doesnt looked thrashed you can change it out no prob...

i can also probably set ya up with the mounting parts too.. ;)

So Ryan c, your saying that there is a coil over kit that will work with my 69 control arms? Is this the QA1 kit? What are the part numbers , cost, etc.?

i am awre of somebody that was making a kit...i cant recall the name. the botton piece was a small cast piece that conformed to the spring pocket, and bolted down with the shock bolts. then there were also tabs for the coilover itself. i know for a fact that they make a top piece the will work with a coilover.

the spanner wrench will work to adjust the rideheight. but the spring rate remains the same. two choices. sbc or bbc. if you have anytype of welding skills i myself can set you up with a basic kit the will mount the coilovers. all you need is tabs on the lower arm and tabs on the upper frame. you can even make the bottom mount adjustable to move it towards the spindle or towards the frame.
