My 69 vert is going in next weekend for non-power drum to power disc conversion. I already have the kit (stainless steel brake some or another). I asked the reputable shop about the petal height. I heard a rumour that the petal height in PDB cars is lower to the floor. He can't see this kit changing the height. 1) Is the rumour true? 2) Do I have to get a separate petal to realize this big advantage? Let me know.

You'll be fine with your current pedal asembly. I did the same conversion.
The pushrod for the master cylinder will bolt to the lower hole of the pedal assemble though, as opposed to the upper hole if your coming from a manual drum brake assembly.
Good Luck. It's a great swap.

Thanks for the feedback. The guy told me there would be no issue with hooking up the existing petal. But what about the height? Will it change? Is the petal itself different from factory PDB cars? I am 6'3" and it would be really good if I could drop the height. By the way, to make this complete I guess I need to change the petal pad. What should it look like?
