ive been here a few weeks and learned a bit about 1st gen camaros...well new stuff anyways......

so lets get some discussion started on a linked rear camaro..
for both drag and road race...the ultamit in adjustability..just need to swap the coil springs to drag/handle

i know they handle well without links but for the cool factor lets discuss.

whos done it?
coilovers/coil springs/etc
3 link ? 4 link?

how long of links? mounts etc...

im thinking about doing up the shop project with coil springs on the axle...cheap and easily changed. as far as mounting im not sure yet...probably like that one they did up in the mag.........ummmmmm the mule???

that suspension was sick......
i was thinking of moving the lower arms past the spring mount about a foot or so.really low on the back of the main hoop...with multipl adjustment holes. then probably one upper. then a panhard all fully adjustable..

watcha think.... smile.gif

I'm not an expert, but I can offer this...

www.pro-touring.com (http://www.pro-touring.com)

A lot of the guys over there run first gen Camaros... and a lot of them frequent this site too. That site has lots of discussion about exactly what you are contemplating doing. Check out the "forum" and since the site has recently been updated, take a look through the "old forum" in the suspension section... lots of good posts on this.

I'm sure people here will chime in as well. I'd like to learn more about the possibility too.

Good luck!

If you can get someone to actually give you some measurements to start working with, then let me know because I have been down this road before as well. I have a 69 that I would like to put a 3-link in, but haven`t been able to find anyone willing to give me something to get started with. I have read all I could find on the 3-link, so I have an understanding about it. I just still haven`t been able to get enough understanding to tackle something like that. The 3-link seems to be the way to go though for the best handling and traction. Good luck
