18LT57060 T0510HH

1 = Chevrolet
8 = 1968
LT = ? I would say the you miss read that T. It is probably a digit. If this the case the L would stand for Los Angeles.
57060 - This should be a six digit number, it is the sequential production number. Matchs the last 6 digits of the orginal cars VIN.

T = Towanda
0510 = May 10th
HH = 1965 327cu 365hp! - Vette, 1966 327cu 300hp - Vette, 1969 350cu 300hp - Fullsize car.

This has me thoroughly confused. The second digit in the 18LT57060 is supposed to be the model year date. It would be 1968. The only think of is that maybe this engine is an early production 1969 and is stamped for a 1968 car. Maybe someone else can help us out here on this one.

NO.The only correction I have on the motor is the first numbers are 18L157060 instead of LT I think L1 ,pretty hard to read.

18L157060 This doesn't tell you anything that hasn't been said yet.
1 = Chevrolet
8 = 1968
L = Los Angeles
157060 = Sequential Production Number

Could you please post the numbers off of the rear of the block. The casting number should be visible by looking on the drivers side down behind the valve cover down towards where the tranny bolts up. There should also be some numbers visible from the passenger side also.
