If I do the Guldstrand mod, by moving the A-arms back, how does that affect the shocks? Also, by lowering them, how does it affect the springs and the height of the front end? Thanks!

The shocks are not affected since it's only the upper A arm frame holes that are moved. The arms move to the rear less than a quarter inch using the Guldstrand mod template because there is not room on the frame to move it more, the bolt head would hit. Ideally, you would move the arms 1/2" to 3/4" to the rear to gain caster.

It has been reported that lowering the upper holes will affect the ride height slightly (lower). I believe this is because the leverage of the wheel over the suspension and springs changes slightly when you alter the suspension geometry via the Guldstrand mod.

I lost some ride height in the front after performing this mod. If your front end is low already lack suspension travel could be a problem. It was for me. If you want to lower it more...sometimes things just work out.
