I have a power steering box out of a 68 riviera, and want to know if its possible to to just bolt the box right into my 68 camaro. I guess I'm figuring that because they are both gm and from the same year, there shouldn't be a problem. Not sure though, so I thought I'd ask the experts. Another thing would be, if the conversion did work then what pitman arm would I have to buy, riviera, camaro or are they the same, and would the steering assembly still go together like it should. Thanks in advance for the help, guys.

Should bolt in, but it will steer slowly unless it's a fast ratio box and I doubt it is.
Use a Camaro PS pitman arm, PS has a larger OD pitman shaft, get the long one for a faster ratio. Use the Rivera steering coupler if you got it with the box, hopefully it fits your steering column holes. A manual coupler is too small.
A new Camaro PS coupler will work if you don't have one.
Most people don't like the soft feel of the older boxes. AGR an other vendors make fast ratio stiff feel boxes for your Camaro. Most rebuilders can make them or see my web page for PS tips.

You can also go the route I did and get a 3rd gen Z28 steer box from junk yard for around $50. It's a pretty easy change. Especially with the help on here of D. Pozzi. Do a search under Steering Box and you'll be able to read more than you care to.
