EMMETT May 10th, 99, 08:13 PM The engine mounts on the frame are different for the V8, Change those and the rest is cake! JaNanArt May 11th, 99, 08:01 AM Thanks for the help! Much appreciated!!! ------------------ Joe V. jbradway Jun 24th, 99, 02:52 PM I too am replacing a 6 cyl in my 67 with a 327. In addition to the engine mounts, radiator and springs, I am replacing the 5/16 fuel line with a 3/8 line. I think the original 6 cyls and 327's with 2 bbl carbs used 5/16 inch lines. If you plan on using a 4 bbl carb, you might want to consider using a 3/8 line. Compuboy Jul 2nd, 99, 09:23 PM I also replaced the six in my '69. You will need to change the radiator, fuel line (3/8), optional front springs (faster launch if you keep them), throttle arm, and the frame towers. The towers are $40 each at Year One, so I'd get them there. Also, if possible, keep the torque converter, because you'll have a higher stall speed with the small block. Good luck! |
