View Full Version : Air Shocks for 67 Camaro Rick Stewart Nov 25th, 04, 02:14 PM want to install a pair of new air shocks on my 1967 Camaro, I have all original stock suspension on my Camaro! Need to know what make is most prefered & why? kz1000ltd Nov 25th, 04, 02:59 PM There's not much difference in "quality" between different brands of air shocks, they're all pretty much going to provide the same kind of ride quality. Personally, I had a set of Gabriel Hi-Jackers and they worked fine, not too expensive either, I think I picked them up at the local parts store with everything needed to install them for about 50 bucks........KZ jimfulco Nov 25th, 04, 08:35 PM Be sure you hook them up with separate air lines. If you hook them up together, the car will lean excessively in corners. I had to raid the parts store's junk box for an extra air valve. Rick Stewart Nov 26th, 04, 03:50 AM IS THERE A PARTICULAR SUPPLIER OF PARTS STORE THAT SELLS THE AIR VALVE FOR A SINGLE CONNECTION FOR A AIR SHOCK? pdq67 Nov 26th, 04, 12:10 PM I bet a nylon oil line kit will work?? I say this b/c my car had air shocks on it when I got it back and I promptly took them off b/c they were junk and found a set of coil-overs in a Boneyard and installed them instead of replacing the air shocks.. And mine were put on with I think they are called, "bulkhead" fittings solid in the trunk floor using the little nylon line as separate air hoses like mentioned.. Like (2) tire valve-stems sorta deal.... pdq67 |
