I installed these yesterday along with bolt in subframe connectors on the 67. The car originally had monoleafs so that is the mounting type. It looks like if I leave out the poly pads I can use a 1/8" thin filler piece on each side of the shock plate to fill the gap. My question is if I do that is my drop height reduced by the thickness of the pads that could sit between the top of the springs and axle perches? Im guessing this is where lowering blocks would go. The pad is 3/8" so without it is my drop only 1 1/8" rather than 1.5"? If so I may be better to install the top poly pad and have thicker side pieces on the shock mounting plates welded in. I'm not sure if bottom poly pads are required if I use the top pads. If so even thicker filler pieces would be required. Advice please...

anything you put between the spring and axle will lower the car by the thicknes of whatever you put in there. if you put a 1/4" thick plate in there, the rear will be 1/4" lower.
be aware that even tho the Hotchkis springs are designed to "lower" a car, it might actually raise the rear up if the stock leafs were sagging bad. but it will be that much lower than new stock springs on most applications.

What did you use between the top of the Hotchkis leaf springs and the spring perch. Mono leafs dont have the locating hole in them? Also there are little metal spacer things in the poly pads but mine don't fit around the bolt in the springs or do they get pressed on when you tighten everything together?
Thanks, Erik

I just ground tips of bolts so there was about 1/8" head above spring
