I picked up a 71 Chevelle with power front discs-actually it has 4 wheel discs, and I want to swap them onto my 69 Camaro (manual drums), and put the Camaros drums back onto the Chevelle.

Can I swap the booster assembly from the Chevelle directly to the Camaro, and the Camaro manual master cylinder to the Chevelle?

Can I reuse the hard lines, or do I need new ones?

I leave the steering arms on the cars, correct?

Any particular order I should do things?

Thanks, Dan

The booster will swap but you may have to adjust the clevis to get proper pedal height. The power brake pedal is lower than manual brakes by about half.
The rest should swap, the steering arms stay with the car they came with. The spindles will have to be swapped. The first gen needs the calipers on the rear side of the spindle same side as the steering arm. The Chevelle will have calipers and arms to the front of the arms so watch out for the calipers saying RH or LH. They will wind up reversed on a camaro RH marked Chevelle caliper will be on the LH side of a Camaro.

i thought the Chevelles had the calipers to the rear of the spindle- that's the way every GM vehicle i've ever seen with disc brakes has been.

Yes, the Chevelle has the discs to the back.
