Anyone know the length of the upper A-arm versus the lower A-arm. I can get close with a tape, but would really like the factory specs from center of the eye where the knuckle bolts through TO the center of the pivot point attachment at the frame for both.
See, I had my car aligned a months or so back and the guys there couldn't get the camber correct and basically butchered the whole job trying to make the numbers match. well, I have shorter springs up front and that obviously did not allow adjustment back to what they thought was good for camber. Somehow they masacred the toe-in (probably frustrated by camber prob) and I was able to get the toe-in closer by eye-balling it in my driveway than they did with their machine. Haha pie in their face...but it is the same pie I am wiping off of mine. I should have told them I had lowered springs and then scrutinized the job before I left. Now I am just brainstorming on the whole front end preparing for the up coming warm weather when I can dial it in for the last time and hit the road. See ya

Use the Guldstrand specs on my suspension page below.
You don't want stock alignment anyway.
It seems quite often they will get the toe in off. The more neg camber you use the more toe out you should run because the neg camber makes the wheels want to toe in.
For manual steering you may want to use less positive camber.
Bump steer is only related to toe changes when the wheel moves up or down. Some Camaros are pretty close, others are off by quite a bit.
The suspension linkage is a bit different and the length of the steering arms.

Thanks David..the reason I was asking for the measurements is so I could do the math myself, then start researching to see if I could qualify my findings, But..it looks like all of the work has been done for me. by the way, you've got an awesome site, I couldn't believe all of the info. Thanks!

Thanks,
Hey, is Tom Sneva's dad still around?
I went up there for some old Indy car parts about 20 years ago.
You can do a quick check of the toe in by putting a 2X4 against the tire side, elevate it about 5". Run it back and along the rocker panel below the door.
