i have a 71 camaro with p.b. and 13' of vaccum at idle (stock disc/drums) in other words my car will barely stop!!! NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

first question - what the the bore size of a 2nd gen dics/drum manuel m/c and what is involved in installing it after the booster?

installing the 77 malibu m/c seems to be the answer to low vaccum problems
1. is this the best m/c for me to use
2. can i just install on to booster?, or must i remove booster and re-route brake lines to f-wall

on 88 s-10 m/c which part is being "turned down" must this be done on a lathe or can i do it with a grider.

or would vaccum pump be the best investment

You have other problems to resolve, not vacuum! My 383 pulls abour 12" at idle (700rpm) and my brakes work great.

Ya I always wonder when the low vacume discussions go on about needing a cetain vacume for the booster. 18 I think is the published number. I'll bounce between 10 and 11 for vacume. Brakes work fine for me and it's a 1971 SS350 with a .513 lift and 306 duration. But hey I'm not a guy who likes brakes. :D

yep, i agree with dennis, my 406 pulls 13" at idle, stock power booster, and i have yet to have any problem with the brakes. good luck with it

What hasn't been said is that manifold vacuum goes up off idle and then goes away at WOT so those of us making 11"-13" are seeing more than that cruising down the road. dyeager - what cam are you using? What readings do you have on the vac gauge at say 2000rpm?
