David or anyone else. This might be a dumb question but what is the (what looks like) electrical socket or switch for on my newly aquired p/s box out of a 85 Z28 camaro that I'll be putting on my 67? And what do I do with it if it's not used on my car? Thanks

I had an 85 Z/28, but don't remember a connector.
I have heard of a sensor for PS that told the computer to speed up the engine idle to handle the extra steering load.

I won't hurt anything to leave it disconnected, I guess.

i think the PS pressure sender was mounted somewhere on the high pressure line- it told the computer to kick up the idle speed at higher pressures- like when you hit full lock during a parking lot maneuver.

It is a power steering switch in series with the A/C compressor control voltage. If pressure becomes too high during turning, opens up the electrical path to the A/C compressor to lessen the load on the engine.
