Looking for some help.I have a 67 camaro with power drum brakes.I just had the power booster replated (got same one back) and bought new NOS master cylinder same # as old one. When bleeding the brake fluid comes out of l rear and R rear wheel cylinders fine but no fluid comes out of front wheel cylinder bleeders. In fact no brake fluid comes out of the front brake line at the master cylinder.I tryed bleeding master on a bench and fluid comes out of both reseviors.Any suggestions. Thanks Paul

If it's the same booster and the pushrod on the pedal wasn't shortened, it should be fine. It sounds like the pushrod off the pedal isn't going through it's proper travel distance. Especially since the master bleeds properly on the bench. If I remember right, there is an upper and lower whole on the brake pedal for the pushrod. One is used with a booster, the other is used without a booster.

Brake check valve is blocking the fronts off I bet.

Sounds like a pushrod problem to me too. Possibly deep master, short pushrod. Take the master loose from the booster and make sure they're not mismatched, and check the pedal rod adjustment too.

biwig97, I just logged in to post a question because I'm having the exact same problem, except I'm not getting fluid out of my back bleeders, or, like you, not even out of the back reservoir at the Master Cylinder. I did bench bleed the MC before I initially installed it, but I've been doing lots of trouble-shooting since then, so it's very possible that I've got air in the MC now. What kind of bleeder kit did you buy for the MC? Did you take the MC back off the car to bleed the MC again? I got a MC bleed kit with the conversion kit I bought, but it's just plastic plugs with plastic tubing to pump fluid back up into the reservoirs. Maybe that's what you have to. Just checking to make sure I have what I need. I've been fighting this thing for weeks!!! Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

Try bleeding the fittings that cconnect to the master cylinder reservoir while it is mounted to the car. Sometimes a lot of air hides in them and prevents you from building pressure to bleed at the wheels.

Scott,Bleeding a MC sounds confusing when you read about it but is very simple when you do it.I bought a MC bleeder kit from NAPA auto parts for $6.00.It consists of different size plastic fittings, two of which will fit your MC where the brake lines normally attach and a length of rubber hose.Screw the two plastic fittings into the MC, then attach one rubber hose from each fitting into each resevoir.(front fitting hose will go in front resevoir, rear fitting hose in rear resevoir).MC should be about half full and make sure both rubber hoses REMAIN SUBMERGED in the brake fluid.Have someone slowly press brake pedal and if you look in MC you will see bubbles rising.Keep having person press pedal until you don't see any bubbles rising.Should only take 4-5 presses of pedal. After thats done fill fluid and if MC has bleeder screws bleed them same as you bleed wheel cylinders,if you don't have bleeders you can bleed from where brake line attaches to MC.Once you have brake fluid squirting from there start with wheel cylinders in this order LR,RR,RF,LF and keep checking MC so you don't run out of fluid.GOOD LUCK.If I can do it anyone can.
