Saw these disc brakes, and was planning on getting the full deal for my 68 Camaro. Anyone have any thoughts that I might not have seen? I would get the Hybrid kit, so they fit without any problems. http://www.touring-classics.com/Brake%20Kits.htm

Do a search on this forum for "c5 conversion" and you'll get a ton of matches.

How much are they asking for the kit? I did my own through GMPartsDirect.com, and with Z06 calipers, ceramic pads, and all the stuff, I think I'm into it about $350 bucks. I know some of those kits are over a grand. I was even able to pick up zinc washed, cross drilled and slotted rotors from sportbrakes.com for both the front and rear brakes for $220.

Whoops I lied. The rotors were $295, just got the package a few minutes ago.

I think pieceing together a package can save you some money but if you don't know exactly what to get you can end up with extra parts and spending more than a good kit. Also needed are custom lines, brackets and mounting hardware that can't be bought at a parts store. Jonathan at Touring Classics has a good kit and will go to a lot of trouble to make sure you get what you pay for. By the way he posts here from time to time.
