Anybody out there know of an application (Late Monte Carlo, 70's-80's Camaro, etc.) for a vacuum brake booster that is fairly small diamter, say 8", that is a bolt in to first gen Camaros? I'm doing something similar to Torker's camaro with the 93-97 Camaro rear brakes, but doing the C5 front brakes, and I'm using the '88 S-10 master cylinder, but I don't want to plumb a hydroboost unit in. I would get something from SSB or Master Power, but theirs come with a master cylinder that I won't even use, and then their prices are up around $300-400 compared to going to my local parts store and getting one for around $100 bucks. If I had an application that would work, I can go down and pick up a reman unit. I've done a search on this, but nobody seems to be doing the swap with a vacuum booster and the S-10 mc. Thanks for the help!

I'd look at a third gen Camaro/Firebird booster. I don't know if the firewall bracket will fit, but it seems that one could be adapted.

Thanks David,
I'll have the parts guy I'm working with pull a few for me and I'll measure to see. I remembered getting one off of an 80's Monte Carlo a long time ago for my '56, but I had to fabricate the entire bracket, and was trying to avoid this again. Thanks again!

Crap. I wish I knew where my 3rd gen booster was, I'd check for you.

I'm going to dig around, I'll report back if I find anything.
