I am getting ready to change the upper A-arms on my 69 Z28. I was going to use the polygraphite bushing but I have heard that they squeek. This car is only driven on the weekends, weather permitting. Would I be better to use the standard bushings or the polygraphite ones?

I used the polygraphite on a thirdgen and enjoyed the results, and for me, I had no noticeable squeeks. BUT... I also placed one of the "hard" type bumpers between the tranny and crossmember since the rubber GM one was torn... I now have a low rumbling vibration down there everytime I turn on the a/c and the car is in idle... LOL.

I run all Energy Suspension polygraphite black bushings and they are excellent and DO NOT squeak!! Be sure to apply the lubrication as instructed to the rubber itself before inserting into the sleeves.

I put Energy bushings (regular, not polygraphite because they were not available at the time) in my 68 (control arms, sway bar, subframe, etc.), and it made a world of difference handling-wise, and no squeaks at all through 6 years and 12,000 miles or so.

I agree with Rick. Take the plunge, you won't regret it.
