Does a 69 rear brake hose, 1 piece - hose and dist block, swap for a 68 hose and separate dist block?
I can't find replacement stainless steel/teflon front & rear hoses for drum brakes, so I will have to get rubber hoses.
I can get a 69 hose cheaper than a 68, and have one less leak, if they swap..........Thanks

Everett,
I'm running that hose on my '68. I have '69 style single piston calipers so I was able to buy the three piece set from Russell (or was it Earls??) I did have to make a custom bracket, but I'm running a 9" in my car so, that's a given.
That's a nice piece, 1/4" brake line in and two 3/16" brake lines out. No adapter or tee block required.

Thanks, Paul for the response.
I did get a set of drum S/St hoses from Russel thru Summit Racing. I opened the box to view and then out to compare. The fronts didn't match and the rear was too short. I was given a Russell phone number from Summit and called their Engrg Dept.
They replied the front hoses were to replace the inboard hoses, those hoses the rubber ones connected. I suggested to him there was no other hoses, all hard lines.
I later faxed a page from the assembly manual to their fax number and ask them(him) to circle the supposed hoses and fax back. I got no response.
So, I'll have to deal with the rubber hoses. I know I should change to disk, but, I can only stop as fast as my billfold will allow me.

LOL! That's great, it's nice to deal with "experienced professionals"!! I'm surprised, Summitt and Jegs are usually pretty good?? Of course, our cars are probably about twice as old as the guy you were taliking to!
Yeah, mods can be pricey! I actually "lucked" into my front discs. I had a friend/customer order them for his matchbox Nova (paid in advance) and then move to CA!! He sold the car and left me the conversion setup as a going away present!! :D All I had to do to make 'em fit the Camaro was mill about 7/8" off of the anchor bolt pedestals on the front spindles and buy a master cylinder and p-valve!! They aren't Wilwood's or Brembo's but when coupled with the much larger rear drums on my 9" they sure do stop this rig better than the drummies did!!

I ran into the same problem trying to buy braided brake lines for my 68 drum/drum. I was told about a company called Inline Tube" and went to their web site. Their part number pretty much matched a part number I knew was wrong. I gave them a call and explained what I needed and why theirs wouldn't work. The parts man said 'no problem' and they were here in about a week. You might call them and get what you need.
