I have a slight leak at the front of the master cylinder where the reservior mounts. I assume there is a gasket there that I can replace. Is this correct and do you have any tips I should know when replacing it such as, do I need to depressurize the system first etc?
Thanks,
Mitch

You will need a new master cylinder. That gasket/rubber boot keep it from leaking to the inside. The leak is most likely from the piston seal.

What kind of master cylinder do you have? The original was a one-piece iron casting with a sheet metal cap - if you have a separate reservoir, it's a MUCH later replacement of some sort.

It is a separate reservoir. The previous owner converted to front disc and according to them everything is off of a 72 Chevelle. Alot of things about this car are not what they seem so who knows!!
