I have had it with my Stainless Steel Brake 4 wheel disc set up. Last night I decided to go go Baer at all 4 corners. I was at their web site this morning but was'nt sure which set up yo go with. Can you guys suggest which set I want. If I have to I will go with 17" wheels when I order the brakes, or is their 15" Serious Street a good set up that will let you run 15" rims?
Thanks,
Mike

If you really want to keep the 15" Rally wheels go with the Serious street setup... Best Bet!

The Sport/Touring kit MAY work with the 15's but it will be close. You can download a template fro the www.Baer.com (http://www.Baer.com) and check for wheel clearance prior to purchasing the brake kit.

Please post why you are not happy with the SSB kit.
Keep in mind vendor bashing is not allowed, but if the kit does not meet your needs or expectations, I think others should know it.

I personally feel their front disc kit is not as good as stock Camaro front discs.

I really dont plan on running the 15" wheels any more. I plan on going to 17" so I guess what I'm saking is which set up do I want to go with for that size wheel? David, without bashing them I will say this their rear parking brake set up is a joke. I had to fab one bracket from scratch and modify one just to work. I could shoot some pics and email them if you want. When I called the tech department they seemed put out that I could not make them work. He stated that they have sold hundreds with no problem. What I had to do is take the e brake exstension they supplied and grind the end down to fit my cable than wrap it around the leaf spring since it is not well thought out. If you do it the wat they say the ebrake line will rub on the wheel. (this is on the left side), on the right the bracket would have worked if the shock wasnt in the way. I had to fab a new bracket to get out side of where the shock mounts. After all this I could not hook up the ebrakes and had to make a extension for the rod that hooks in the subframe. As it is now when you apply the ebrake it feels real tight but it wont hold the car. Also they have no mounts from where the brake lines hook to the brake hose. (they just flop around) the brake lines were way to long and I had to shorten them about 4-6 inches. In my opinion the way there customer service didnt handle my problems and the way way these brakes are not thought out. Now I have factory front discs and only went with their rear disc setup, they also never seem to feel solid and are mushy, yes I have bleed them its just they dont feel good.I would NOT reccomend them to my enemys. I can email pics of all the problems if your interested. So now I will buy the good Baer brake set up and be done with it.

you could probably fit a 13" brake system behind the 17" wheels- if you use the kit with the PBR calipers, which i recommend simply because you can get replacement parts like rotors, calipers, and pads at any GM dealer or small town auto parts store- they are simply Corvette parts.
supposedly, you should run smaller brakes in the rear to prevent premature wheel lockup under "panic stop" situations- say 12" on the rear and 13" on the front.

Thanks for the added info.
We have the Baer track front and Touring rear kits for our 73 Camaro. Haven't gotten the car running yet though.
We got the 13" fronts and they are huge. They might clear some 16" wheels but just barely. 17" wheels are best.
Make sure you reduce the rear axle end play to minimum or you can have low pedal problems.
