In the process of installing several chassis components on my 1969 Camaro. One of which is the rear shock crossbar from Competition Engineering. It is recommended, this crossbar be used when relocating leaf springs inward. I am not relocating my springs and will be maintaining the original gas tank. Question; Will this work? How do I determine the correct shocks to buy? The shock angle will increase and the distance from the mounting positions will also. Thanks

Yes, you can use this crossmember and still keep the org. gas tank... Be perpared to massage the floor of the car.. Also, you will have exhaust clearance problems... A muffler shop can take care of that... Good Luck...

Plus I don't think you will be able to stagger mount your shocks. They both will have to be on the back side of the rear end.
