I'm thinking of pulling out my present steering system and going with Uni-Steer have any of you done this system? Are there any clearance issues? Will it work with my Hydro boost? Anything else I need to know?
Thanks,
Mike

id like to know about it also. i hear its a pain in the ass to run power steering if you upgrade to a procharger. Im starting to hate the looks of my powersteering. and the box weighs a ton! i would go with a manual rack. i hear the steeroids kit sucks.

You can run hydroboost with manual steering. Of course you still need a power steering pump. Just run the pressure hose from the pump to the booster and then the two hoses from the booster back to the pump reservoir. Both hoses from the booster to the reservoir can now be low pressure.

I already have power steering what I was wondering is how will the power rack work with Hydroboost?
Thanks,
Mike

I would be more concerned about header fitment than anything else. I asked Maval gear about headers and was told they have not installed the rack on a header equipped car. The pictures they sent me were of the system installed on a big block car with stock exhaust log-manifolds.

I did ask about headers and they said they have fit them on ig block Camaros without problems as long as the headers were back swept. They wont fit a Pontiac power F body though. I was woried also about my CV products oil pan.
