I have read all the threads in regards to leaf springs and there is a difference of opinion.

I have a 67RS with mono's, I just ordered the shock relocater and bolt on spring pads from AFCO.

So do I buy the Hotchkis setup 2407C or do I buy the Global West set L-2 setup with cat 5 the delum bushings or Detroit Speed springs.

They all lower the car about 1.25 to 1.5 inches so whats the difference!

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

I have the Global West springs. They ride great, not to stiff.

I guess it'll depend at least a little on what you have up front, and what stance you want.

Well I bought the Hotchkis setup and it looks good. I'm going to be cutting off the spring perchs tomorrow and welding a new set in as I'm installing 1 3/4 ofset rear shackles along with Afco inboard shock plates.

Thanks for the input!

I ordered custom leaf springs for my car (see webpage) from Betts Spring in Portland, OR. I got to choose my ride height, spring rate, spring configuration (Mopar S/S style to control wheelhop), all for about $30-50 cheaper than Hotchkiss springs, even with shipping.

Something to think about.

Checked out your site silver very nice 69 you have. The leaf springs look good. I just got mine installed. I went with the Hotchkis 3407C setup and I'm very pleased. I made my offset brackets today and they turned out very well. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how.

Matt,
I sent the drawing chicane67 gave me to Bett's spring today. They said I should have a quote pretty soon. Did you have to specify bushings to them? I know in your email, you said you put poly bushings in, but I'm wondering if you had to tell them the diameter. They didn't ask, but I want to make sure I get this right the first time.

Thanks
Ken

BB69 The rolled springs eyes are standard in just about every American passenger car that uses leaf springs. The only exception to this are a few chassis in the mi to late 50's like the Corvette and T-Bird. I dont think that I would worry about it, but if it made you feel better you could always call them.....

Thanks Tom. As I told you in my email, I have been having problems getting parts, and I wanted to make sure. I figured I had bothered you enough. Again, I will let everyone know what happens with these springs.
