ok i bought on ebay what was represented as a manual steering box from a 67-68 camaro (used) and when i received it today the first thing i noticed is that it has 4 bolt holes instead of 3 that are on the one in my 68 and i can find no numbers on the outside of the box(the one on my car has numbers all over it). is there anyway possible that this is from a first gen camaro or did i just get ripped off. your replys will be apreciated, thanks

might be a Vega box- which will fit- that someone sold as a Camaro box to get a Camaro price for it.

they likely would cost the same at your local parts store. as they would probably have the same part # at the store.
you may be hard pressed to find any 3 bolt boxes anymore. if the extra ear bothers you, you might be able to cut it off and grind it down.
