Planning to attack rear suspesion rebuild this month.

While I am at it, I plan to change my 3.08 gear set in my 8.2 68 Camaro rear end. 327, TH-350 with 24in. tire. I do travel the interstate for short trips (50 miles).

I am looking at 3.36 or a 3.55. Will 3.36 not be enough to feel a difference?

OR,will the 3.55 be uncomfortable @ hiway speeds?

Thanks for the help,

Steve

I replaced a 3.08 with a 3.55 posi in my 8.2. At 65 you are pretty much at 3K with an auto. It is fine for me.

What did it cost to convert an 8.2 to a posi?

What did you use?

I am looking at Richmond powertrax.

I went with the eaton posi unit and a set of richmond gears. I believe I got about $650 in it after the job was completed.
